Accessibility Statement

Peter Pan Nursery is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.

This accessibility statement should be viewed as the "ability to access" and benefit from our website services. We focus on enabling access to our website for people with and without disabilities - aiming to provide a user friendly experience for everyone.

We have done this by - including proper alt text for images, selecting a management system which supports acessible content and layouts, using descriptive names and unique links whenever appropriate, using colour with care (users with learning disabilities benefit greatly from colour when used to distinguish and organise content), designing our forms for accessibility (with well-positioned, descriptive labels), assuring our website is accessible on various forms of technology (desktop, laptop, tablet, smart phone etc.), as well formating our layouts to appropriately adapt to zoomed software as best we could.

We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for everyone. Whilst Peter Pan Nursery strives to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact our website coordinator Charlotte Walters by email at charlottew0115@gmail.com, or contact us directly at info@peterpannursery.org.uk
